Scholarships

Community

The Computers, Freedom and Privacy Conference (CFP) has a reputation for attracting a diverse audience, yet we constantly seek to enlarge the number and variety of groups and organizations engaged in technology related policy issues. Therefore, CFP2002 will offer a few scholarships to be awarded to those community groups who have been underrepresented at past CFP conferences. Scholarships are generously provided by the Denis v. Metromail Cy Pres Foundation.

Only a limited number of community scholarships are available and we will be making rolling decisions. Therefore, you will probably have a higher chance of acceptance with an early application.

Application deadline has been closed.

Students

In order to make it possible for interested full-time students to participate in CFP2002, we will award a limited number of student stipends to pay for travel, accommodation expenses, and registration fees. Students who receive stipends will be asked to write brief articles about one or two conference sessions. Student applications have closed. Student stipends are made possible by a generous grant from Hewlett-Packard.
